Semi Towing Across Southern California
Southern California moves more freight than anywhere in the country, and most of it runs through the corridors we cover. When a tractor-trailer goes down on the 10, the 15, or the 60, the clock is running on the load, the driver's hours, and the lane closure. We handle all three.
Loaded and Disabled Tractors
We move loaded and disabled tractor-trailers with Class 8 wreckers rated for the weight, not underpowered equipment being asked to do a job it can't. Driveline disconnects, air-system work, and axle lifts are routine. If the unit is upright and rolling, it goes behind the wrecker; if it isn't, that's a different truck and we say so.
When the Load Has to Come Off
Freight that has shifted, spilled, or is riding a damaged trailer usually has to be transferred before the unit moves. We bring a Landoll detach trailer and shuttle the load rather than dragging a compromised trailer down the freeway. See equipment and machinery transport for the trailer side of that work.
When It's Already on Its Side
A rollover is a rotator job, not a wrecker job. Our 50 and 75-ton machines take the weight on the boom and set the unit back on its wheels instead of dragging it — which is what protects the trailer and the freight. That work lives on rotator recovery.
Where This Happens Most
The Inland Empire is the heaviest freight corridor in California, and the 10/15 junction above Fontana generates constant heavy calls. The 60 through Walnut and the City of Industry warehouse belt is the other big one. Our heavy iron is based at Whittier HQ and Fontana and rolls from whichever is closer.
Carriers, Insurers, and Standing Accounts
Fleets don't want to negotiate a tow at 3am. We set up standing accounts so dispatch and billing are already in place when a unit goes down — see commercial fleet towing. We document the scene for the claim and coordinate with CHP on traffic control.
Why Hadley
- We own every truck. Hadley drivers, Hadley equipment, Hadley dispatch. Not an app, not a dispatch network — your call is never farmed out to a stranger.
- Family-owned since 1952. Three generations, the same yards, the same phone numbers. See why that matters.
- We show up with the right iron. The truck we send is sized to the job, because a job worked with the wrong equipment costs more than it saves.
- Insurance approved. Covered tows are billed directly to the carrier and cost you nothing — see insurance-covered towing.
